    Medical/Surgical Unit-4P2-Surgical Care

This 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit cares for a diverse population of medical patients and elective post-operative surgical patients, including spine, hip and knee replacement, colon resection, colostomy, and breast flap patients. Patient Care Technicians work closely with the care team in a fast-paced environment, supporting approximately 10 patients per PCT while helping deliver exceptional patient care. The team is known for its outstanding teamwork, strong communication, and having some of the highest patient experience scores in the hospital. With very low staff turnover and a structured, high-performing culture, many PCTs choose to remain on the unit and transition into RN roles after completing nursing school. Candidates with CNA or PCT experience are preferred, particularly for PRN positions, but motivated individuals who are new to healthcare or new to acute care are also encouraged to apply if they thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn.

This position is a PRN Day Shift working 12 hour shifts from 6:00AM.–6:30PM.

We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.
