Join Our Team as a Full-Time Patient Care Technician!

Scheduling requirements include availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. The position offers opportunities for growth, with a clear career ladder from Nursing Assistant to Patient Care Technician - Lead. A starting pay rate of $19.80/hour for Nursing Assistants is offered, based on experience and qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities: • Assist with activities of daily living • Basic patient care • Point-of-care testing • Vital signs • Telemetry monitoring • Specimen collection The role may also involve advanced skills like phlebotomy, IV removal, and EKGs, depending on department needs.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Must also have at least one of the below: • One year of general healthcare experience • Six months of experience as UPMC Nursing Assistant/CNA with PCT competency achieved within 120 days of hire/transfer/promotion • Enrollment in a nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical rotation required • Completion of a bachelors degree in a health sciences field Nursing Students or those with EMT experience preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Clearances with renewal: • Act 31 • Act 33 • Act 34 • Act 73
