Patient Care Technician - Surgical Medical (SMCC) (PCT)

Job Overview

As a PCT on SMCC, you'll work side‑by‑side with nurses to provide hands‑on care for surgical and medical patients. You'll assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, documentation, and compassionate support - including care for patients nearing the end of life. This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful patient interaction, real clinical exposure, and a team that helps you grow.

What You'll Do

• Assist with bathing, oral care, toileting, and linens
• Support safe mobility, repositioning, and transfers
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Document patient information accurately
• This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
• Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of required PCT classes
