Responsibilities:
Provides patient teaching and required follow-up, for diabetes and other diagnosis. Acts as a resource for nursing personnel.
Assists Unit Directors in the development and implementation of patient education protocols for use by floor staff according to assessed needs.
Increases and maintains utilization of services through maintenance of a high profile
Within the hospital and medical community.
Develops and provides programs as requested to nursing and non-nursing personnel and other team members.
Performs other activities as assigned by department supervisor/manager necessary for the smooth operation of the department.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills with physicians, Directors, nursing personnel and other team members.
Follows North Oaks Health System's Compliance Programs and all Federal and State regulatory guidelines.
Is able to demonstrate competency in age specific criteria as applicable to job scope.
