The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidates educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview: The Patient Escort transports patients within the hospital network in wheelchairs and stretchers from time of admission until discharge. Qualifications:
Preferred: • AHA BLS • High School diploma or equivalent
Scheduling Requirements: • 11:00pm-7:30am • Rotating weekends and holidays • Per Diem
Essential Functions: • Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate appropriately with patients • Functions in an emergency situation as a team member with guidance from supervisory personnel • Maintains patient transport equipment (i.e. wheelchairs) in a safe manner • Picks up and delivers equipment and specimens as requested • Properly identifies the patient • Records assignments in the Escort Log, signing patient on and off units • Reports any equipment problems immediately to appropriate personnel • Transports patients in a safe and timely manner • Transports patients throughout various units/departments within Center
