Sigma, Inc. is seeking a Patient Family Service Specialist to support a leading pediatric healthcare organization in Aurora, Colorado. This onsite healthcare customer service role is ideal for professionals with experience in patient services, guest relations, hospital reception, front desk operations, visitor services, or healthcare administration who enjoy helping patients and families in a compassionate environment.
As a Patient Family Service Specialist, you will serve as a key member of the Patient and Family Experience team, providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and organized hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
Welcome, greet, and assist patients, families, and hospital visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Provide directions and wayfinding support throughout hospital facilities
Perform visitor check-in procedures, health screenings, and verification processes
Utilize hospital visitor management systems to confirm visitor access and issue badges
Access Epic EMR to verify visitor authorization and patient-related information
Support the Patient and Family Experience by creating a positive and welcoming environment
Assist with questions, concerns, and requests from patients, families, and visitors
Professionally handle and de-escalate challenging situations involving patients, visitors, or family members
Maintain accurate visitor documentation and support hospital security protocols
Help ensure efficient daily operations of the hospital’s Visitor Management Program
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of administrative, clerical, front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service
Comfortable interacting with patients, families, and visitors from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a hospital, healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing environment
Experience with patient registration, guest services, reception, or visitor management
Experience handling difficult conversations and conflict resolution
Familiarity with Epic EMR or healthcare technology systems
Background in hospitality, customer relations, or guest experience
Schedule
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:00 PM
On-call availability required with at least one day advance notice
