    Looking for Patient/Family Volunteers

    for our Hospice Organization

    (Greater Los Angeles, Long Beach/OC, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Ventura, Inland Empire areas)

    Our Roze Room Hospice Volunteers offer soul supportand compassionate companionship to patients and families at the most vulnerabletime in our patients’ lives. As the founder of Roze Room Hospice, I am honoredto celebrate our third decade in the industry and to be surrounded by dedicatedand caring professionals.

    Roze Room Hospice was formed to honor the memory of mygrandmother Roza, whose favorite flower was the rose. Integrating her name andher favorite flower into our organizational name reminds me of our dailypurpose and mission. Therefore, all we do at Roze Room Hospice is geared towardthe patient and family. Our goal is to provide the best care possible to ourpatients and treat each patient with love, compassion and dignity. Ourvolunteers are an integral part of our organization, and we look forward to youjoining our family.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Patient/Family Volunteers:

    We are looking for individuals with a caring heart, who are interestedin making a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and theirfamilies.

    Patient/Family Volunteers work directly with the patientsand families, providing friendly visits, companionship and caregiver support.Examples of services provided by our Patient/Family Volunteers includecompanionship, active listening, reminiscing, caregiver support, reading to thepatient, listening to music together, walking the patient’s dog, playing aninstrument, light housekeeping, and playing cards or games with the patient.The visits schedule is flexible and depends upon volunteer and patient availability.Patient/Family Volunteers are asked to volunteer 4-16 hours per month withregular visits. You too can make a difference with just your presence, and asmile with this rewarding opportunity. Please join us!


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • California driver license or ID
    • Proof of current auto insurance
    • Social security card
    • Healthcare clearance 

    Hospice Training and Background Checks are provided free of charge through Roze Room Hospice.
