Patient Financial Services Representative

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: 100% Onsite

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about helping patients navigate the financial side of healthcare? Join the Meritus Health team as a Patient Financial Services Representative and play an important role in ensuring accurate billing, insurance processing, and payment resolution for our patients.

In this role, you'll work behind the scenes to support a positive patient experience by ensuring accounts are processed accurately and efficiently while collaborating with insurance providers and internal teams to secure timely reimbursement.

What You'll Do

• Review patient accounts to ensure charges and payments are accurate
• Verify that insurance authorizations have been obtained when required
• Submit claims and account information to insurance carriers and patients in a timely manner
• Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
• Navigate multiple insurance payer requirements while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Prioritize and manage a high-volume workload to maximize efficiency and collections

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Typing proficiency of at least 40 WPM
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• One year of experience in hospital billing, physician billing, collections, revenue cycle, or a centralized billing function
