Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Patient Registration Manager to oversee the operations of a hospital-based Patient Registration Department. This leadership role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating registration operations while ensuring excellent customer service, regulatory compliance, staff management, and operational efficiency.
The manager will maintain visibility across all shifts, including occasional early morning starts, to support a 24/7 registration environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare
- Experience managing a hospital patient registration or customer-focused registration department
- Experience working in complex union environments
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance plans and medical billing processes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Patient Registration Department
- Lead and supervise registration staff in a hospital setting
- Ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and billing-related processes
- Develop and implement operational and strategic initiatives
- Manage departmental budgets and resources
- Support quality improvement and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership, Shared Services, and cross-functional teams
- Maintain staff engagement and communication across multiple shifts
