Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Pay: $17.50/hr.
Schedule: Possible 12-hour nights | 6:00 PM–6:30 AM | 3 days/week | Every other weekend
Hours: 36 hours/week

Overview

We are hiring a Patient Registration Rep to support bedside patient registration in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is an entry-level opportunity, and the team prefers candidates with experience using medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete bedside patient registration activities including reception, face-to-face check-in, and preregistration
• Verify insurance eligibility and support cash collection processes as needed
• Register new patients and update demographic, registration, and insurance information
• Respond to patient/visitor inquiries and advocate to help resolve issues
• Deliver strong customer service by phone, in person, and in writing
• Multi-task effectively with frequent interruptions in a busy setting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 1+ year experience in patient admitting/registration and/or insurance eligibility/verification (hospital or medical office setting)
• Insurance payor systems experience
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• EPIC experience/training
• ICD-10 / medical terminology familiarity
