Patient Registration Representative Entry Level (6-Month Assignment, Possible Extension) Job Summary Under general supervision, follows standard operating procedures and protocols for all bedside patient registration activities, including patient reception, face-to-face check-in, preregistration, confirmation of insurance eligibility, and cash collections. Performs new patient registration, updates registration and insurance information, and responds to inquiries from callers/customers. Advocates on behalf of callers/customers to ensure their needs are met. Serves as a welcoming first point of contact for all callers/customers by providing efficient and effective customer service while anticipating patient needs. Education Required: High School Diploma Preferred: None Certifications & Licensure Required: None Preferred: None Required Skills & Experience One (1) year of experience in patient admitting, registration, insurance eligibility, or verification in a hospital or medical office setting Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Excellent customer service and communication skills over the phone, in person, and in writing with patients, visitors, and staff Ability to stand for long periods and provide instruction to others Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions Preferred Skills & Experience EPIC training or experience Insurance payor systems experience ICD-10 medical terminology experience Location Grand Blanc Schedule / Shift Information 6-month assignment with possible extension Entry-level position Preference for candidates with medical terminology experience 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week Every other weekend required Available shift: 6:00 PM 6:30 AM Overtime payable after 48 hours worked Hours Per Week: 36.00 Hours Per Day: 12.00 Days Per Week: 3.00I
