Patient Registration Rep.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and enter precise patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system to uphold the accuracy of health records.
• Schedule appointments, verify demographic and insurance details, and complete pre-registration tasks to ensure correct billing.
• Recognize situations requiring clinical healthcare staff intervention and manage patient flow effectively.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
• Support Care Coordination services and participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives.
• Manage Prior Authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
• Accurately track and record patient data.
• Attend meetings and fulfill other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in a related field.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
• 3 years of experience in advanced customer service and relevant healthcare positions.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.

Physical Requirements:

This role entails periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and job-related stress. Evening or weekend shifts may be necessary, with occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to ten pounds.
