Job Description


The Patient Relations and Billing Coordinator provides excellent communication with our patients, coordinates revenue cycle and medical insurance billing, delivers administrative support to clinic leadership, and assists with clinic operations. As a key player in our day-to-day operations, reliability and conscientiousness are critical in this role. You will be successful in this position if you:

This position is directly supervised by the Practice Administrator and works closely with all members of the staff.


This is a full-time position. Our clinic is open 7:30 am-6:00 pm Monday - Friday. We would create your schedule (typically an 8-hour shift) in coordination with the schedules of other administrative staff members.


 


Key responsibilities of this position include: 


· Coordinate revenue cycle, insurance billing and front desk operations


· Provide friendly service at patient check-in and check-out


· Schedule appointments and communicate with patients in person and over the phone


· Prepare and organize patient charts


· Contribute to the turnaround and upkeep of examination rooms


· Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information

Education & Experience


Required Qualifications:


· High school diploma or GED


· At least one previous role or educational attainment related to healthcare


· Computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and online applications


 


Preferred Qualifications:


· Bachelor's Degree


· Certificates/courses completed related to health insurance billing or medical field skills


· Experience in a healthcare and/or customer service setting


· Experience using EMR/EHR or appointment scheduling software


· Experience with medical billing and coding
