About The Job
The Patient Representative is responsible for performing billing, collecting, and accounts receivable transaction processing, and for handling billing inquiries for the Hospital and Clinic. Referrals, posting charges, payments for insurances, refunds, and adjustments. This position will also cover for hospital patient registrations, switchboard functions, and cashier duties.
The Shift 16 hours per week, works 2 days a week with the option to pick up additional hours. Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Holidays.
Pay Starts at $17.82, increases with experience.
Qualifications
Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-high school education is desirable. Must have experience with or course work in medical terminology or be willing to obtain within one year in the position.
Experience Must have one to three years experience in the health care setting. Computer experience and knowledge of medical billing is preferred. Six months of office experience preferably in an ambulatory setting such as a medical office.

MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center, Emergency Room, seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
