PATIENT SCHEDULER COORDINATOR

JOB DUTIES:
• Schedules non-surgical procedures, specialty visits and diagnostics within CRMC per provider orders.
• Obtains insurance authorizations for CRMC Specialty Clinics and diagnostic department services.
• Maintains current knowledge of CRMC patient business and financial policies.
• Maintains current knowledge on contractual requirements by insurance payors.
• Informs and facilitates patients of financial obligations for services
• Communicate with patients and peers to respond to any queries or issues
• Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy

The Patient Scheduler assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
• Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
• Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
• Understanding of billing, patient care, and excellent customer service
• Ability to type 45-60 WPM

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required
• Experience in scheduling, reception and/or medical billing office setting, preferred
