Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Bilingual Patient Scheduling Coordinator to support our call center operations. This role is responsible for managing inbound calls, scheduling patient appointments, and ensuring accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record.

The ideal candidate delivers excellent customer service, communicates effectively in both English and Spanish, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Answer and route incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Enter and update patient demographic information in the EHR
  • Route messages to appropriate health centers and staff
  • Provide high-quality customer service to patients and callers
  • Follow call center procedures, workflows, and scripting guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and TFHC policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a healthcare, call center, or high-volume environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with medical or dental terminology preferred
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
