UT Urgent Care Clinic has provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care is seeking experienced, well qualified full-time Patient Service Representatives for our Knoxville and surrounding county locations. Must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast-pace urgent care environment.

A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:

• Greet patients and assist with patient requests upon arrival to clinic
• Obtain and record demographic, insurance and financial information
• Collect co-pay, co-insurances and past due balances
• Verify insurance eligibility and ability to relay relevant information on payment policies.
• Answer multi-line telephone, relay patient messages to clinical team members

Position Highlights:

• Flexible Schedule: 36-hour work week scheduled between 3 shifts per week, with option for overtime pay (1.5 x hour)
• Hours: 12-hour weekday shift, 9AM-9PM/9-hour weekend shift, 9AM-6PM
• Shift Differential: Up to $2.00 per hour

Salary Description:

• $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
• Dependent on experience

Requirements

• 12-hour shifts, including ability to work weekends (no overnights)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
• Outstanding customer service skills

Education:

• Requirement of GED or Higher School Diploma
• 1+ year experience in healthcare facility (medical office, urgent care, ED) is preferred
