Duties & Responsibilities Patient registrationCollect current and overdue service charges, and print receiptsSecure a daily cash boxReconcile daily charges and receiptsAnswer phones, take and forward messages, and schedule appointmentsMultitask and work in a fast‑paced environmentVerify patient insurance informationUse a multi‑line phone systemTravel to other clinics to cover shifts as requiredOperate office equipment (fax, printer, scanner)Follow Waco Family Medicine policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbookOther Duties Other duties as assigned by supervisorPhysical & Mental Requirements Valid driver's licenseVisual and auditory accuracyShift length – 8 hoursIndoor settingFrequent use of computerLong periods of sittingFrequent use of telephoneContinuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both handsContinuous conversational communicationOccasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbingOccasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs.Occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areasRegular use of personal transportationUnderstand and carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions with retentionRead and interpret detailed specificationsQualifications Reports to: Practice ManagerEducation & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
