Patient Registration & Scheduling
Answer incoming telephone calls in a fast paced call center environment.Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments based on provider availability and clinical appropriateness.Assess root cause of the inquiry to provide first call resolution.Determine which calls are appropriate for referral to clinical staff.Interact with clinical staffResearch patient specific clinical information within the EMR to fax test orders to testing facilities as requested.Mail welcome letter and appointment cards to new patients.Must follow clinical protocols by asking pertinent questions to collect patient data.Recognize an emergent situation and triage call to appropriate clinical department.
What We're Looking ForYou're organized, people-focused, and cool under pressure. You bring strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to making every patient feel seen and valued.
High school diploma or GED required.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Accurate data entry skills with the ability to manage high volumes in a fast-paced environment.Experience with call center preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.A commitment to patient-centered care, health equity, and serving diverse, underserved communities.
Schedule & LocationsWe are hiring full-time for this remote position. You'll be scheduled during normal hours of operation, which may include evenings and weekends. Occasional unscheduled overtime may occur.Benefits at Thundermist Health CenterFull-Time Employees Working 40+ Hours/Week
