Position Overview
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, patient registration, insurance verification, and coordinating patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience & Front Desk

  •  Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner 
  •  Manage patient flow and communicate wait times effectively 
  •  Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience 
Registration & Insurance

  •  Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility 
  •  Accurately enter patient information into EMR (Experity preferred) 
  •  Explain visit costs, co-pays, and billing policies 
Payments & Administration

  •  Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay balances 
  •  Maintain daily cash drawer and ensure accurate reconciliation 
  •  Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries 
  •  Scan and upload documents into patient records 
Compliance & Support

  •  Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality 
  •  Support clinical team with administrative needs 
  •  Ensure front desk area is organized and efficient 
Qualifications

Required
         
High school diploma or equivalent 
  •  1+ year of customer service, front desk, or administrative experience 
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
Preferred

  •  Experience in urgent care, medical office, or healthcare setting 
  •  Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology 
  •  Experience with EMR systems (Experity is a plus) 
  •  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
