The Patient Service Representative/PDC is the key contact for patients visiting PDC. The incumbent greets patients, processes forms and paperwork, and handles financial arrangements. Provides clerical support, performs extensive scheduling duties and serves as liaison between patient and medical staff.
Performs data entry, and other job-related duties.
Obtains patient registration information upon initial telephone contact.
Greets and processes patients entering department.
Performs discharge functions, including scheduling of multiple physician appointments, return visits, referrals and tests.
Manages patient data, charts and files.
Assists with patient financial process to ensure payment of services provided.
Provides clerical support to department as needed.
Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.
Associate's Degree and two years experience with third party billing in a medical office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be proficient in the English language.
