Job Title: Patient Service Representative

The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients in a medical office setting. This role is responsible for performing front-office administrative functions, including patient reception, registration, scheduling support, and billing-related activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience and supporting efficient clinical operations.
Welcome and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Perform front-office reception duties, including answering phones and directing inquiries.
Support billing and payment collection processes in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate efficient patient flow.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, medical office, or front-desk experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems is a plus.
No licensure or certifications required.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Knowledge of medical office procedures and insurance verification is beneficial.
