Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting patients and visitors professionally while creating a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, appointment management, and provider workflow to support an efficient clinic operation.
- Register patients, verify demographic and insurance information, collect payments, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Answer phones, manage referrals, maintain office supplies and inventory, and perform general administrative duties.
- Room patients by obtaining vital signs, updating medical history, medication lists, and documenting information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform clinical duties within scope of practice, including venipuncture, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and preparing laboratory and radiology requisitions.
- Monitor and track ordered laboratory and diagnostic tests to ensure timely follow-up and provider review.
- Prepare patient charts by ensuring required documentation, test results, and outside records are complete prior to appointments.
- Participate in telephone triage by gathering patient information and providing guidance according to established protocols and provider direction.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, maintain exam rooms, clean instruments, and follow infection prevention and standard precaution guidelines.
- Support Transitional Care Management (TCM) visits and other patient care activities as directed by the provider.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Active Medical Assistant certification
Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (required within 90 days of hire if not current upon hire)
- One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience in a physician practice or medical office
