    Opportunity Overview

    We have an immediate opening for a Patient Services Coordinator / Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Ovation Fertility in San Antonio, Texas.

    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 12 Saturdays and 5 holidays per year, and the ability to float to the New Braunfels location as needed

    In this role, the Patient Services Coordinator / Laboratory Assistant will:

    • Welcome patients and visitors to the office
    • Answer and assist all incoming telephone calls
    • Schedule appointments using a computerized scheduling system and conduct follow-up calls when necessary
    • Provide timely and accurate information and quality customer service to incoming patient inquiries
    • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial, and insurance information
    • Support embryologists with all aspects of IVF processes

    • Assist with andrology procedures such as IUI preparation and semen analysis
    • Assist with specimen discards in the laboratory

    • Assist with maintaining integrity of media, collection, and semen processing data; record and communicate oocyte collection, maintain embryo production data records; maintain accurate labelling and traceability of media and embryo production
    • Assist with lab maintenance; sanitize working areas and equipment; follow production inventory and LN2 management protocols; maintain processing equipment, glassware and plastic dishes and processing areas

    • Perform general office duties and all other tasks as requested by physicians, director and embryologists

    What You’ll Bring

    Qualifications and Skills Include:

    • Bachelors degree in Biology or related science field required
    • Prior healthcare experience preferred
    • Prior laboratory experience preferred
    • Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
