Overview:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift; Onsite

 

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Patient Services Rep II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, making outbound calls, collecting patient co-pay, deductibles, and/or outstanding balances. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for providers. Works closely with providers to ensure notes/documenting and corresponding billing is completed in a timely manner. Assists with creation and review of performance reports and metrics.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 
Required:

  • 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical office setting.
  • Ability to provide customer service over the phone.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
