Outpatient Registrar

A healthcare organization in the Bucks County, PA area is seeking multiple Outpatient Registrars to support patient registration and patient access operations. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with strong potential for temp-to-perm conversion.

Position Details

Job Title: Outpatient Registrar
Employment Type: Contract
Assignment Length: August 10, 2026 – November 7, 2026
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Hours: Schedule TBD; practice operating hours are generally 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Location: Candidates may be assigned to either the Doylestown, PA or Warrington, PA area
Pay Rate: $19–$20/hour

Position Overview

The Outpatient Registrar will serve as the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for delivering an accurate, professional, and positive registration experience. This role will support patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, authorization follow-up, and financial responsibility discussions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and customer service.

Responsibilities

Complete accurate patient pre-registration and registration.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to or at the time of service.
Obtain and verify authorizations in accordance with payer guidelines.
Enter physician orders accurately into internal systems.
Collect and explain patient financial responsibility.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and internal staff.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
Prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Team-oriented mindset.
Previous hospital registration or patient access experience preferred.
Insurance verification experience preferred.
EPIC experience highly preferred.
Training

All new hires will complete required training, including EPIC training, HIPAA training, and advanced scheduling concepts training. Candidates must successfully complete the required EPIC assessment at the end of training.
