Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

 

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Patient Services Representative I provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments.

 

The Otolaryngology is a high volume surgical department. Department goals are to ensure throughput of clinical patients and optimizing OR utilization.


Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required: One year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting with ability to troubleshoot. Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public with great communication skills. 

 

Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish. Strong organizational and time management skills, teamwork and collaboration skills, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. 

 

Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED required.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
