    About the Role:
    Northland Family Care in Kansas City, MO is looking for a friendly and dedicated Patient Services Representative to be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' healthcare experiences from the moment they walk through our doors.


    Responsibilities:
    • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner at the front desk
    • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
    • Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient payments
    • Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR system
    • Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
    • File electronic faxes into the EHR
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred
    • 1+ year of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or customer service setting
    • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing or insurance verification
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
    • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
    • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy standards
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
