Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for patients and support the daily operations of the front office. This person will help create a positive patient experience by answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with patient questions, and supporting treatment plan coordination and financial arrangements.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience answering telephones in a professional setting
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office
• Familiarity with insurance plans, including HMO and PPO

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and dismissal
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Schedule, confirm, and maintain patient appointments
• Follow up on missed appointments and cancellations
• Assist with patient check-in and front desk documentation
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts
• Check and return voicemail messages daily
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Support office staff and management with additional administrative tasks as needed
• Provide excellent customer service while communicating clearly and professionally with patients and team members
