This position is ideal for someone with previous
call center or high-volume customer service experience who enjoys helping people and is comfortable managing multiple systems while assisting customers over the phone. Experience in healthcare or pharmacy is a plus, but were especially looking for candidates who are confident communicating with customers in a busy, fast-paced call center environment.
As a Patient Support Advocate, you'll support patients navigating mail-order pharmacy and assistance programs through a busy inbound call center. Your role is to guide them through eligibility, benefits verification, and medication access, ensuring they receive compassionate and accurate assistance. Youll collaborate closely with your team to deliver impactful results and create positive patient experiences.
What Youll Do
As a Patient Support Advocate, you will be responsible for
- Reviewing financial and program documentation to determine patient eligibility
- Calculating and applying Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines for assistance programs
- Conducting benefits verification across commercial and government insurance plans
- Interpreting verification responses and determining eligibility for Medicare programs
- Explaining program requirements, eligibility, and appeal processes to patients
- Processing specialty medication orders in compliance with all regulatory guidelines
- Managing applications received through multiple channels with accuracy and attention to detail
- Obtaining and documenting necessary authorizations and attestations
- Escalating adverse events and product quality issues as needed
- Supporting medication reshipment and distribution, ensuring shipping compliance
- Maintaining accurate documentation across all systems with a focus on quality and empathy
What Youll Bring

- Prior call center or high-volume customer service experience
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on tone, empathy, and professionalism
- Ability to follow structured workflows, triage questions, and comply with rules
- Comfort navigating multiple systems efficiently during calls
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Ability to clearly explain complex information in a patient-friendly manner
- Knowledge of pharmacology or healthcare terminology is a plus

Location & Schedule
This position is onsite in Lakeland, FL, with shift options from 11:00 AM7:30 PM or 11:30 AM8:00 PM. Training will be held MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM, for three weeks.
