Patient Transportation Specialist (Driver)

About the Role
Klamath Health Partnership (KHP) is seeking a reliable and patient‑focused Patient Transportation Specialist (Driver) to support access to care for our community. This position provides safe, timely transportation for patients traveling to KHP clinics, occasional out‑of‑town specialty appointments, and assists with pharmacy and Health‑Related Social Needs (HRSN) deliveries. This role is essential to ensuring patients can receive the care and services they need.

Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from KHP clinic locations.
- Provide scheduled transportation to specialty clinics outside the area.
- Deliver patient medications as assigned.
- Deliver payments, supplies, or materials related to the HRSN program.
- Follow assigned schedules within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Confirm appointments with patients when needed.
- Navigate routes using maps or GPS tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Operate KHP vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Oregon driver's license with no more than one moving violation in the past 18 months.
- At least six years of licensed driving experience.
- Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirement).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with a diverse patient population.
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
