    Patient Transporter

    Support Safe Patient Movement & Care Coordination

    At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Transport team plays a key role in ensuring patients move safely and efficiently throughout their care journey. We're seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience.

    What You'll Do

    • Transport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab, etc.)
    • Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility across all patient populations
    • Escort patients upon discharge as needed
    • Support transport of equipment and assist with deliveries as needed
    • Maintain and clean transport equipment including gurneys, wheelchairs, bassinets, and cribs
    • Monitor and maintain oxygen tanks and transport equipment readiness
    • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and departments
    • Respond promptly to pages and transport requests
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    • Support departmental goals, productivity standards, and service excellence

    • Physical ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment
    • Strong attention to safety and patient care standards
    • Flexibility to support different units and assignments

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • AHA BLS certification
    • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days

    Preferred

    • Previous patient transport or hospital experience
