Support Safe Patient Movement & Care Coordination
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Transport team plays a key role in ensuring patients move safely and efficiently throughout their care journey. We're seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience.
What You'll Do
Transport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab, etc.)
Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility across all patient populations
Escort patients upon discharge as needed
Support transport of equipment and assist with deliveries as needed
Maintain and clean transport equipment including gurneys, wheelchairs, bassinets, and cribs
Monitor and maintain oxygen tanks and transport equipment readiness
Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and departments
Respond promptly to pages and transport requests
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Support departmental goals, productivity standards, and service excellence
What You Bring
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment
Strong attention to safety and patient care standards
Flexibility to support different units and assignments
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
AHA BLS certification
Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
Preferred
Previous patient transport or hospital experience
