Pattern Maker Pattern making is one of the first and most important steps in the casting process. Patternmakers are responsible for producing patterns usually made out of wood, metal or model board. These patterns are used to create cavities in molds, that are then filled with molten metal to create a casting. Essential Job Functions:

Required Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand. Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators. |
