As a Pavement Markings Technician, you'll help install roadway striping and markings on highways, city streets, county roads, airports, parking lots, and other traffic surfaces. Safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship are at the core of everything we do.
What You'll Do
Install pavement markings using polyurea, epoxy, thermoplastic, and other specialized materials.
Operate striping trucks, walk-behind stripers, grinders, water blasters, and related equipment.
Prepare road surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and removing existing pavement markings.
Measure and layout pavement markings according to project plans and DOT specifications.
Set up and remove traffic control devices in accordance with MUTCD standards.
Load, unload, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working around live traffic.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
Previous experience in pavement markings, road construction, traffic control, asphalt, concrete, or general construction is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
Valid driver's license required.
CDL Class A or B is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Iowa, Nebraska, and surrounding areas.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime during the construction season.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety.
