Paving Foreman Eastern Pennsylvania
A well-established heavy civil/site development contractor in Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to oversee asphalt paving operations across commercial, municipal, and site development projects. This role is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating daily paving activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining production schedules while operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate asphalt paving crews on roadway, parking lot, and site development projects
- Oversee daily paving operations including grading, prep, paving, rolling, and finishing
- Coordinate Client, trucking, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain production goals
- Read and interpret plans, grades, and specifications
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and equipment operators in the field
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies
- Monitor paving tolerances, compaction, and overall workmanship
- Troubleshoot field issues and adjust operations as needed to maintain productivity
- Complete daily reports, production tracking, and documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of asphalt paving experience with prior foreman or leadman experience preferred
- Strong understanding of paving operations, sitework, and roadway construction
- Experience supervising crews and coordinating heavy equipment operations
- Ability to read construction drawings and grades
- Knowledge of DOT and commercial paving standards preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
