Payable Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Salt Lake City, UT.

Summary: The AP Specialist will be responsible for accurate, timely processing of supplier payments while ensuring compliance with company policies. The candidate delivers strong customer service, supports AP operations, and ensures vendors are paid correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, requisitions, and vendor setup/updates accurately in AP systems
• Resolve invoice issues (PO mismatches, errors, credits)
• Perform PO matching, GL coding, reconciliations, and transaction processing
• Use reporting tools to manage workload and identify issues
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies independently
• Ensure accurate financial records through calculations, posting, and verification
• Communicate professionally with stakeholders and provide customer support
• Manage workload to meet deadlines and maintain compliance with policies
• Support training, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed
