Payments Processor
The Payments Processor ensures accurate and timely processing of ACH transactions and wire transfers while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk. This role supports internal and external customers by delivering exceptional service, resolving payment issues, and upholding operational standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Accurately process ACH transactions and wire transfers within established deadlines. (Data Entry, Time Management)
Monitor and reconcile daily transaction activity to ensure accuracy and compliance. (Regulatory Compliance, Attention to Detail)
Validate transaction details and resolve discrepancies promptly. (Solving Problems)
Assist customers with compliance and audit requirements related to ACH and wire services. (Regulatory Compliance)
Respond swiftly to fraud or compromised account situations, prioritizing customer protection. (Decisiveness, Customer Focus)
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory and internal standards. (Regulatory Compliance)
Provide prompt and professional support for ACH and wire processing via phone, email, and digital channels. (Customer Focus, Communicating Effectively)
Troubleshoot payment processing issues and guide customers and internal partners toward resolution. (Solving Problems, Customer Consulting, Technical Skills)
Serve as a resource for frontline staff and internal teams seeking ACH and wire processing knowledge. (Sharing Knowledge, Technical Credibility, Teamwork)
Act as a subject matter expert on ACH and wire products and procedures. (Product Knowledge, Content & Knowledge Management)
Document events, issues, and resolutions in the CRM system. (Customer Relationship Management)
Ensure all processing activities meet quality and timeliness standards. (Quality of Work, Productivity)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Strong attention to detail and accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Experience with ACH and wire processing systems preferred.
Demonstrate strong adherence to regulatory standards and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure secure and compliant payment processing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations (e.g., 6-8 hours with breaks).
Occasionally required to stand or walk short distances.
Manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse and telephone system.
Visual acuity to read computer screens and written documents.
Occasionally lifting office supplies, files and small packages (typically up to 10-25 lbs.)
Ability to hear and understand spoken communication, including customer (internal and external) inquiries and phone conversations.
Ability to speak clearly and be understood in person and over the phone.
