Tesla sets the bar for a trustworthy & resilient charging network. The Charging Operations team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network.

The Charging Payments & Supplier Specialist is a key member of the North America and Europe Charging Operations team. This role is responsible for managing centralized payment operations, including supplier onboarding, utility bill processing, and rent payments across multiple sites in North America and EMEA (Europe).

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Supercharger Deployment, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Vendor Validation Team, as well as external partners including utilities and site hosts.

  • Establish and maintain precise payment data with thorough account reconciliations complete with accurate aging reports for annual reporting
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding of new landlords, ensuring compliance with lease terms and timely, accurate payment execution
  • Serve as the Supercharger business partner for the vendor validation team, accounts payable and accounts receivable on all related initiatives ensuring alignment and process consistency
  • Maintain and update utility account information within Tesla's systems, including the setup of new utility accounts to support the expansion of our Supercharger network for both NAM & EMEA
  • Drive continuous improvement in payment systems and processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions
  • Lead process optimization initiatives, including automation and scalable long-term solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce friction, and improve team velocity
  • Degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in financial operations, general accounting or utility billing preferred
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service when resolving inquiries over the phone with professionalism, empathy, and a calm, solution-oriented approach
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Strong organizational skills with strong multitasking abilities, with focus and demonstrated agility in managing critical tasks
  • Strong communication skills to relay information across multiple stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail with an eye for efficiency when working with high volume of accounts
