Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to support accurate and compliant payroll operations in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment. This role is responsible for bi‑weekly payroll processing, payroll system maintenance, audits, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, knowledgeable in payroll regulations, and comfortable serving as a point of contact for employees, timekeepers, and management.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify the accuracy and completeness of payroll documents , identify discrepancies, and resolve issues according to established payroll proceduresProcess bi‑weekly payroll and assist with off‑cycle payrolls , including identifying and correcting out‑of‑balance conditionsMaintain and update employee payroll records, including changes to taxes, garnishments, levies, deductions, insurance coverage, and direct depositsManage employee garnishments and levies , including setup, maintenance, and complianceProcess terminations and final pay accurately and timelyPrepare and review payroll tax payments on a bi‑weekly basisPrepare employee benefit‑related vendor invoicesPrepare payroll‑related general ledger entries and ensure accurate posting from sub‑ledger to general ledgerReconcile payroll‑related GL accountsAssist management in understanding the impact of new payroll regulations and system changesRequired QualificationsProven experience in payroll processing in a high‑volume environmentStrong understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, garnishments, and deductionsExperience working with payroll and time & labor systemsAbility to reconcile payroll to the general ledgerHigh attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to explain payroll concepts clearly#J-18808-Ljbffr
