Payroll Accountant

Our client, a rapidly growing global consulting firm in Boston's Back Bay, is seeking a Payroll Accountant to be an integral part of their team and to continue their success. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional or accountant with payroll experience to play a key role in payroll operations, accounting, and process improvement within a high-growth environment.

This position will pay $75-85K on a base salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state U.S. payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of employees
• Prepare payroll and benefits-related journal entries
• Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet and expense accounts
• Manage payroll accruals, including PTO, bonuses, profit sharing, and other compensation liabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 2+ years of payroll accounting or payroll administration experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, NetSuite, Rippling, or similar payroll/ERP systems
• Knowledge of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and tax compliance preferred
