You will lead analysis, strengthen controls, guide junior staff, and advance process and system improvements that enhance enterprisewide payroll integrity.What You'll DoOwn the endtoend payroll accounting cycle, including preparation and review of complex journal entries, reconciliations, payrollrelated accruals, adjustments, and account analyses.Analyze multistate and multicountry payroll results, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Payroll Operations and Financial Systems.Serve as a key advisor on payroll accounting impacts during system changes and regulatory updates and assist with policy revisions.Lead monthly, quarterly, and yearend close activities for payrollrelated accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Design, document, and enhance payrollrelated internal controls, including SOX compliance, testing support, and remediation activities.Lead audit engagements for payroll accounting areas, serving as primary point of contact for internal, external, financial, and regulatory auditors.Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, optimizing payroll accounting processes, and partnering crossfunctionally to implement solutions.Provide formal mentorship and guidance to junior team members, review work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies and standards.Support special projects and enterprisewide initiatives requiring advanced accounting, systems knowledge, or crossfunctional coordination.Join us. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
