We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll / GL Accountant to join our Finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. In this role, you will support and strengthen payroll accounting operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, proper general ledger (GL) mapping, and timely month-end close activities across a growing global workforce. This role will also support other GL accounting activities as assigned.You will partner closely with Payroll Administration, Accounting, and Tax teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and scalable processes as the company continues to expand internationally.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform end-to-end payroll reconciliation, identifying and resolving variances between payroll systems, HR records, and the general ledger.Maintain accurate payroll GL mapping for earnings, deductions, taxes, and employer contributions across accounts and cost centers.Prepare and post payroll journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts, including accrued wages, payroll liabilities, benefits, and garnishments, and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.Support payroll accruals, reclasses, and labor cost allocations during month-end close.Assist with fluctuation analysis and prepare supporting schedules for management reporting.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across various GL areas.Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and support operational scalability.Assist with internal and external audit requests and ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.QualificationsRequired Qualifications3–6 years of payroll accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth technology or software environment; ideally with experience in automotive industry.Hands‑on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP Workforce Now).Strong experience with payroll reconciliation and GL mapping, payroll journal entries, and month‑end close activities.Demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, reconcile payroll data, and resolve variances across payroll and accounting systems.Experience supporting high‑volume and complex payroll environments and physical inventory accounting.Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Preferred QualificationsExposure to international payroll (e.g., Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea) or shadow payroll concepts.Experience in a SOX‑controlled environment with audit support responsibilities.Experience supporting rapid growth or scaling payroll operations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
