Wilkes University invites applicants for a Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator. This position supports essential payroll and accounts payable functions and plays an important role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the University.

The successful candidate is responsible for processing biweekly payroll for faculty, staff, and student employees; auditing payroll data and resolving discrepancies; maintaining compliance with payroll laws and institutional policies; supporting payroll reporting and year-end processes; and serving as a resource for payroll inquiries. The position also manages accounts payable functions, including reviewing and entering invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements, maintaining records, and communicating with vendors to resolve issues and ensure account accuracy.

A degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in payroll or accounts payable, preferably in higher education, along with strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service skills. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
