Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Payroll Analyst. Responsibilities:
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and analytical reviews
  • Prepare account analyses, journal entries, and financial reports related to payroll
  • Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded in financial systems
  • Analyze payroll data to support compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies within payroll and accounting records
  • Support internal audits and provide reporting metrics and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain payroll transactions and provide data support
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation, and system updates
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing across multiple pay cycles
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and employees
  • Support employee data setup and ensure compliance with payroll and tax requirements
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with payroll and/or financial systems preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
