    Payroll Analyst-Up to $95K
    Silver Spring, MD (5 days In Office)

    Workday experience REQUIRED

    The Payroll Analyst is responsible for managing full‑cycle, in‑house payroll using Workday. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while supporting strong internal controls, employee service, and effective collaboration across departments.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Process full‑cycle payroll and ensure accurate and timely distribution of paychecks and related documentation.
    • Maintain payroll records and implement procedures that ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient workflows.
    • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
    • Prepare and file payroll tax returns, reports, and payments accurately and on schedule.
    • Process payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and adjustments within the payroll system.
    • Oversee accurate data integration with the general ledger, HRIS, and related systems.
    • Create and maintain standard and ad hoc payroll reports.
    • Support training and guidance for payroll, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders on payroll processes.
    • Provide high‑quality customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
    • Participate in hiring, training, and developing payroll team members; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
    • Allocate resources and manage budgeting to meet payroll team objectives.
    • Promote a productive, compliant, and engaged team environment.
    • Identify process improvements and promote best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Support organizational initiatives by aligning payroll processes with overall goals and mission.
