PAYROLL AND BENEFITS ADMIN

Location: Maumelle, AR
Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $65,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a PAYROLL AND BENEFITS ADMIN in Arkansas.

Position Summary This role manages the full end-to-end payroll processing and employee benefits administration for the organization. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely payroll for hourly and exempt employees, maintaining compliance with all laws and regulations, and supporting group benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and others). The position serves as the primary point of contact for employees, carriers, and third-party administrators in an independent contributor capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll (hourly & exempt) including wages, deductions, taxes, and updates for new hires, terminations, and rate changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage/hour laws.
• Administer benefits enrollments, changes, terminations, and record-keeping.
• Resolve payroll and benefits inquiries and issues.
• Audit benefits invoices and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support payroll system maintenance and audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred + 3–5 years payroll experience (or 8–10 years without degree).
• Strong knowledge of FLSA, payroll taxes, wage/hour laws, and benefits administration.
• Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
