The HR Administrator / Payroll Backup provides administrative support for Human Resources and serves as the primary backup for payroll processing within Mattress Warehouse. This position supports a complex workforce and is responsible for maintaining employee records, reporting, supporting onboarding and offboarding activities, assisting with HR and Benefits compliance initiatives, processing employee transactions, and ensuring payroll continuity during absences or peak processing periods.

Support payroll administration for more than 1,400 employees across multiple states; assist with payroll processing, audits, timekeeping reviews, commission and incentive compensation administration, reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Two to five years of HR, payroll, and administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll administration in a multi-state environment and a retail, commission-based workforce is strongly preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now and E-Verify experience preferred.
