Job Title: Human Resources and Payroll Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee payroll, onboarding, and retention of staff, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce.
- Manage employee relations, performance management, payroll and HR compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to department managers and staff on HR-related and payroll matters.
- Identify and attract potential candidates through job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Ensure timely and organized communication throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
- Document all candidate interactions and progress.
- Initiate and manage reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates.
- Stay informed on industry trends to improve recruitment strategies.
- Represent Holston Rehab at job fairs and networking events.
- Partner with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Participate in recruiting roundup meetings and training sessions.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for facility employees
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- HR leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting as well as payroll experience and recruiting as well
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Experience in recruiting or staffing coordination preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and job boards.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering an excellent candidate experience.
