Summary:

  • Pay Rate: $20 - $24 / hour
  • Duration: 12 Months - Temp to Perm Potential

  • Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll for a large corporation with multiple federal identification numbers, multi-jurisdictional states, and localities.
  • Execute and validate weekly and bi-weekly gross to net pay calculations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of pay and deductions.
  • Administer benefit programs including enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, and invoice approval.
  • Process, review, audit, and balance weekly and bi-weekly payroll transactions.
  • Maintain and review ACA information to comply with regulations and prepare annual forms.
  • Assist and review monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Coordinate with accounting to reconcile General Ledger and other accounts.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from human resources and management.
  • Consult with and advise human resources on insurance and 401(k) eligibility.
  • Develop census data and provide to broker; make recommendations to Director.
  • Coordinate yearly Open Enrollment Meetings and process changes with deadlines.
  • Calculate employee payroll insurance deductions and notify the payroll company of changes.
  • Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits.
  • Contribute to and help maintain the HRIS system.
  • Review/audit employee change requests and respond to external correspondence.
  • Maintain 100% confidentiality and professionalism with payroll and personnel information.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience processing payroll and benefits administration for multi-jurisdictional states.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
  • Highly proficient with computers and technology, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Internet savvy with the ability to manage employee benefits changes on multiple carrier websites.
  • Physical ability to use hands to fingers, reach, climb stairs, walk, sit for long periods, talk, and hear.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Knowledge of payroll taxes (federal, state, and local).
  • Experience with quarter-end and year-end processes.
  • Ability to handle amendments and corrections, including prior period adjustments.
  • Familiarity with compliance and overall payroll operations.
