We are seeking applicants for a Payroll Assistant to join a great company in Greensboro. This role will assist with payroll processing, timekeeping administration, employee record maintenance, and payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience working with payroll systems, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Responsibilities
Assist with weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
Enter and maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions.
Process garnishments, benefits deductions, direct deposits, and tax withholding updates.
Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist in preparing payroll reports, reconciliations, and year-end documentation.
Respond to employee payroll questions regarding paychecks, deductions, taxes, and PTO.
Maintain payroll records and personnel files while ensuring confidentiality.
Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll-related reporting.
Assist with W-2 processing, audits, and special payroll projects as needed.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
1+ years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience.
Familiarity with UKG highly preferred
Basic understanding of payroll taxes, wage laws, and payroll compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data entry.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
This is an immediate need so all applicants should be available to start immediately.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
